Kents Landing Summer Staff (Seasonal)

Well, we have a job opportunity for you. The Town of Naples is looking for energetic and
enthusiastic individuals to join a team of boat launch & property attendants for the
summer season at the Kent’s Landing Boat launch and Town Beach facility.

   Staff members are tasked with proper inspection/logging of all incoming and outgoing
watercraft at the Town launch facility, inspect for milfoil and invasive species, collection
of launch fees and general upkeep and maintenance of the bathroom facilities and
property.

   Applicants must be reliable, self-motivated, have good people skills, are able to work

Marine Safety Supervisor (Seasonal)

This is a leadership and enforcement role responsible for overseeing marine safety operations, ensuring compliance with state and local marine regulations, and maintaining waterfront security and infrastructure. The Marine Safety Supervisor leads marine safety personnel and collaborates with local, state, and federal agencies to enforce maritime safety laws and best practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of state and local marine laws and safety regulations.

• Experience in maritime law enforcement or marine safety.

• Ability to operate patrol boats, watercraft, and safety equipment efficiently.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and effectively.

• Proficiency in using computer systems for reporting and record-keeping.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a State of Maine Harbor Master or equivalent (i.e. coast guard license).

• Knowledge of navigation, mooring systems, and environmental protection laws.

• Experience in supervising marine safety activities.

Per-diem Firefighters/EMTs, AEMTs, or Paramedics

The Town of Naples is currently seeking per-diem Firefighters/EMTs, AEMTs, or Paramedics. Naples is a combination department with excellent pay and an outstanding team. Ideal candidates are highly motivated, self-starters. Members of Naples Fire Rescue protect life and property as their first priority. Additionally, members participate in daily training, care of equipment, and general house chores, while ensuring each apparatus is ready to respond.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • A valid appropriate State of Maine driver’s license

  • Current EMT-B, EMT-A or EMT-P licensure in good standing

  • Firefighter 1

  • CPR certification

  • ACLS, PALS or PEEP, PHTLS or ITLS

  • Emergency Vehicle Operator Course or equivalent certification

  • Physical strength and agility to allow for performing firefighting, EMS, and rescue responsibilities

Summer Camp Director:

Naples Kidventure Summer Camp is a dynamic and inclusive summer camp dedicated to providing unforgettable experiences for children of all ages. Located in Naples, our camp offers a wide range of activities designed to foster personal growth, teamwork, and lifelong memories. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Summer Camp Director to lead our team in creating an enriching and safe environment for campers. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a genuine love for working with children. The position is a seasonal full-time position.

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Recreation & Community Activities Director.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, or a related field or relevant experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a leadership role at a summer camp or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse groups of people.
  • The ability to train and lead a team of camp counselors.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a curriculum, schedules, and resources efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of camp operations, including staff management, program development, and camper supervision.
  • Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating camp staff to ensure a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate programming that aligns with camp values and objectives.
  • Maintain open communication with campers, staff, parents, and the Recreation Director to address concerns and provide updates as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations to uphold the highest standards of care.

 Summer Camp Counselor:

Camp Counselor is a full-time position, seasonal job, working with children ages 5-12 in our summer day camp program. Our camp operates Monday-Friday in Naples, Maine.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Camp Director

Qualifications:

  • 16 years or older
  • Have experience working with children
  • An ability to be active and attentive with children ages 5-12
  • An ability to take direction
  • And a positive attitude
  • Responsibilities:
  • Implement activities for children in a day camp setting, where safety and the responcibility for children are a priority
  • Assist Directors in providing a safe environment for campers at camp, at the beach, and on field trips
  • Clean and organize
